Sometimes...... It's Too LATE.....!!!!!

Chapter Nine

"Mote....you are late... Again..", Kavya mocked of being angry and gestured Yash to hurry up.

"Come-on, I don't wanna miss my first lecture.. It's Sharma sir.. Ohh.. Damn cute man..."

"Ya...Ya...Your Sharma Sir.. As if he is waiting for you. Look at your monkey face... ", Yash teased Kavya. 

"Haaa.. Don't be jealous... I know you're gay and it hurts when someone so handsome like Sharma sir doesn't give you attention... It's okay.. Hota hai.., "

Kavya kicked Yash and rushed to get an auto. Both reached the college premises and moved towards their respective classes. As soon as Kavya entered the class she spotted Daisy is sitting, probably waiting for her. She waved her and dashed towards her. 

"Hey.... I thought I would miss this lecture.. Thank god I was on time. This Yash always makes me go through this, especially if it's Sharma Sir's lecture."

"Yash...!! Hmmm... May be he is jealous because you're  giving attention to someone else... Haa...", Daisy poked Kavya with a mischievous smile. 

"Shut up.. We are just friends Daisy. Don't start that again...", Kavya was trying to hide her blush but Daisy knew it.

"Dosti hi pyaar hai aur pyaar hi dosti...Waah Waah... Sometimes I wonder I must be a Shayar. What's say...", She nudged Kavya again and again until she was blushing as well as embarrassed.

Seeing Kavya smile he smiled as well, but with care so that no one notices him gazing at her. So with "he" I meant the one with whom Kavya stumbled and the one who lost himself in her beauty and it seems he is falling for Kavya. He is Aaditya Sharma, who is totally lost in Kavya and her magnificent beauty. Seems, It's time to introduce him to Kavya. 

Aaditya saw Kavya and Daisy giggling in the canteen and decided to finally say a "hi" to both of them. He took a deep breath and summoned himself towards Kavya and Daisy. 

"Hi...ladies. I know this is strange but I'm here to apologize Kavya.", Aaditya said with calmness. 

Kavya and Daisy looked towards each other with bewildered faces.

"Huh...Me... !!!! For what and how do you even know my name..??", Kavya asked with a puzzled expression.

"There is a thing called attendance, which we give in every lecture.. That's how I got your name. An apology for that day.. I bumped with you, and you were almost to fall. Actually, you didn't give me a chance to even say sorry and just rushed away. Since that day I have been trying to talk to you but was afraid that you would think of me being creepy. But I know this sounds even more creepy.. Argggg....", Aaditya looked away from them and cursed him for being so stupid and naive.

"Hold on... Firstly, that was fine.. Don't be sorry... We both were in a hurry and it happened unknowingly. And secondly, you ain't creepy....instead you seem to be a gentleman. Come join us...",

Kavya motioned Aaditya to take a seat beside her. Aaditya hesitantly took a chair and joined them. Once they were done with the formal introductions, it seemed they really enjoyed talking.  Post lunch break Kavya, Daisy and Aaditya sat along the same row and giggled throughout the remaining lectures. Aaditya couldn't stop thanking his stars because he assumed Kavya would accept his apology and that would end there.... But, often what we think doesn't really happen.

As always, Yash was waiting for Kavya at the college gate. As soon as he saw Kavya he waved her with a broad smile to which Kavya responded and winked to him.

"Yash, meet Aaditya our new friend.", Kavya said gleefully.
Aaditya came forward and gave Yash a half hug, which usually guys give one another. Yash too greeted him warmly.

"Kavya let's move or else we would miss our train.... and then bhot rush hoga. "

"Yeah, you are right...!! Bye... Daisy and Aaditya... kal milte hain..!!" Kavya bid them bye and moved out with Yash.

Kavya stepped downstairs to meet Yash post dinner as usual. Kavya hunted for Yash because he was no where to be seen, not even on their regular bench. She was seeking here and there a loud hello coming from the garden area startled her. The hello was none other than from Yash. She saw him reclining on the grass and relaxing in the chilly breeze.

"What are you doing here... seems gharwalon ne hakaal diya.." Kavya chuckled.

"Hahahah...Funny... Just lie down here, you will know the reason instinctively..!!!" Yash smiled and patted the grass beside him, motioning Kavya to lie down.

Kavya followed him and too reclined beside him. The grass beneath felt cold and relaxing. The above dark sky embellished with starry diamonds felt mermerising and a full moon just added the rest of the beauty which was required. The cold breeze was cherry on the cake.

"Hmmm.... Now I definitely know what were you doing here. This is truly magical. Releases all your stress."

"I told you"

Yash was now facing Kavya. The lumiscent light emerging from the sky only made her face glow and twinkle like a star. Wind and here hair seemed to play with each other. blow of wind used to flicker her hair and she used to tuck them back.

"It's true...", Yash uttered looking towards Kavya.

"Huh... kya hua.. What is true..", Kavya seemed confused.

"Moon and girls are a deadly combo. Have heard and read how authors describes that a girl's beauty is elevated under moon light... Always wondered that it is beautiful, but it seems I have got my answer." Yash smiled.

Kavya couldn't hide her blush. She nervously tucked her hair behind her ears. Trying hard to contemplate the words to reply, but all in vain out of nervousness.

"Don't tuck your hair behind. They are only adding the extra sparkle to the already gleamy face."

Kavya was now all red with blush. The smile seemed to find a permanent place on her face.

"Wow...Just wow... You definitely know how to charm girls... Killer man....", Kavya replied mockingly.

"Here I'm not charming anyone. It's just the truth Kavya..."

Kavya could see the sincerity in his eyes and knew he wasn't lying or playing, but was just honest with her.

"I trust you. Now stop staring at me...who knows you might fall for me...", Kavya laughed, but deep down she wanted this to happen.

"In that case... I really don't mind if it happens.. I'll be very lucky.."

Kavya punched Yash and both burst out laughing, but, somewhere they both were serious about what they pretended to be just a joke.
